Recap of the Paris Event Forum

Paris Event Forum recap
  • July 10, 2025

On June 24th, nearly 300 experts and event professionals gathered at the Paris Event Forum, a brand-new meeting designed by and for industry professionals. Climeet played a key role there, with a clear ambition: to show that it is possible to organize events with a positive impact—without compromising the experience.

A new event to rethink event management

Organizing an event means combining agility, innovation, and impact. Yet, few gatherings allow event professionals to meet as peers to reflect, test, and co-create. This is the whole purpose of the Paris Event Forum, initiated by 15 French EventTech companies (including Climeet) with a common goal: to rethink the future of events by making it more collaborative, more effective, and more sustainable.

📍 Location: Comet Meetings – Bourse
👥 Participants: 300 professionals
🎙️ 20+ speakers, keynotes, roundtables, workshops, live demonstrations...

Climeet, a committed player at the first edition

At Climeet, we contributed in two ways: by measuring the event’s overall carbon footprint and by raising awareness among each participant about their own impact. A standout innovation: each visitor’s individual carbon footprint was displayed directly on their badge, based on their mode of transport and accommodation. A small detail? No—it was a concrete way to spark discussions and trigger awareness.

Our conviction: transparency about impact is the first step toward action.

Concrete actions for a more responsible event

Beyond measurement, the 2025 edition implemented several inspiring best practices:

  • 100% vegetarian buffet → up to 50% reduction in emissions compared to a classic buffet
  • Reused materials → optimized carbon amortization with each reuse
  • Encouragement of low-carbon mobility

A high-impact Climeet workshop

Highlight of the day: the workshop co-hosted by Béatrice Eastham, founder of Climeet, alongside Olivier Seguran (Moët Hennessy) and Aurore Deliancourt (Auditoire).

Together, they shared practical experience on reducing an event’s carbon footprint without blowing the budget.

A clear message: decarbonizing doesn’t necessarily cost more, provided you have the right tools and anticipate the right levers. The workshop’s success, both in attendance and quality of discussions, reflects the growing interest in a responsible, pragmatic, and solution-focused approach.

What we take away from this collective day

The Paris Event Forum was much more than a professional event: it is living proof that collective intelligence can evolve our practices. Far from top-down conferences, the formats encouraged open discussions, honest feedback (successes and mistakes), and a genuine spirit of mutual support among professionals.

It is also an opportunity for Climeet to confirm that environmental impact challenges are increasingly integrated into strategic event planning—and that solutions exist to support this transition.
